Austrian editor (1880–1967) and founder of the journal Der Brenner, the primary outlet for Austrian Expressionism. Ficker was Trakl's principal supporter and champion; he arranged for Wittgenstein's gift to Trakl and published his work. Sebastian im Traum is dedicated to Ficker.
