god
Pan
also: the son of Pan, Sohn des Pan
Greek god of the wild, shepherds, and rustic music, often depicted with goat's legs. In Trakl the 'son of Pan' appears as an elemental, sleeping figure in stone (section 5, Gedichte) and as a laborer sleeping on asphalt at noon (section 39), merging classical myth with modern urban alienation.

Pan is the Greek god of the wild, shepherds, and rustic music, often associated with sudden fright ('panic') and the generative force of nature. Trakl's invocation of Pan fuses classical pastoral with Expressionist unease.
